"The most rewarding aspect of my job is witnessing the successful implementation of solutions in practice."

Meet Lars-Olof Svensson, Lead Engineer at Nilsson Energy.

Lars-Olof Nilsson

Lars-Olof has been a part of the Nilsson Energy team since August 2022. He works as a Lead Engineer, focusing on system design, quality, and technical issues.

His extensive experience and broad competence in the engineering industry include roles such as service technician, system designer, project manager, installation manager, and responsibility for quality control. His responsibilities have ranged from creating technical documents such as process diagrams and manufacturing documents to managing purchases and conducting quality controls.

Lars-Olof has significant experience with industrial and cryogenic gases at AGA Cryo. He was involved in service, installation, system design, manufacturing, and commissioning of systems for customers in the gas industry. At TTS Marine, he was responsible for quality control and supplier evaluation in connection with manufacturing larger steel and hydraulic structures for equipment, including car transport ships for Walleniusrederiet. Additionally, he served as a service and installation manager at Apex Industrial Service.

Why did you choose Nilsson Energy?

"I realized that it was an excellent match, and I had the skills and experience to contribute to Nilsson Energy. Hydrogen plays a crucial role in the transition to renewable energy, and I am convinced that my background, with experience in process and design work, including my time at AGA Cryo, can be of great use here."

What is the most enjoyable part of your job?

"The most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing that things work in practice. It's when I feel that what I've created actually functions. Commissioning is the most enjoyable, allowing me to think and act practically to solve problems immediately, and hopefully, see a satisfied customer as a result."

"The creative process itself is also very satisfying. Process design forms the basis of the entire project, and the creativity that colors the work is enjoyable and, at times, quite clever. The job at Nilsson has been both messy and challenging at times, but I look forward to new experiences helping us create common ways of working together."

What tips would you give to someone who wants to work at Nilsson Energy?

"Since we are a growing company, it is crucial to ensure that your skills and experience align with the needs we have at Nilsson Energy. You will contribute to making our projects successful and influencing a fossil-free future," concludes Lars-Olof.
