Meet Nicklas Nettéus, Service Technician at Nilsson Energy.
Nicklas has worked at Nilsson Energy since February 2022. He has many years experience of bio gas and natural gas (CNG/LNG) from his time at Fordonsgas and of technology, mechanics and customer service from the automotive industry and Volvo Trucks.
As service technician at Nilsson Energy Nicklas assembles and secures that the hydrogen systems comes into place. At our facilities at Gateway Säve all the hardware is mounted within the containers to be delivered to the customer. At the site all the components are installed and connected to work together. Some of the projects Nicklas is working with is preventive service on the hydrogen system for example the one Sjöbohem has, another current project is taking delivery and commissioning an electrolyzer which is going to produce hydrogen for a pre-school in Mariestad.
Why did you choose Nilsson Energy?
I felt like I wanted to try something different and posted on LinkedIn. I was then contacted by a previous colleague who gave me, and my colleague Tomas, the tip that Nilsson Energy was looking for service technicians at Säve. Since I have experience of gas, even though not hydrogen, I contacted Mattias at Nilsson Energy to find out more.
It was on the first interview that I really understood what typ of company Nilsson Energy was and how interesting both the company and industry was. Since the environment and climate are important to me it was an easy decision to make, this was something for me.
What is most fun about your job?
My first thought is that it is varied, laughs Nicklas. No day is like the other. Since the industry is immature and the knowledge exists with only a few people it is a bit like to start school. We have started to learn from scratch how the systems and all the components will fit together. It's fun even if it sometimes can be a bit frustrating before we find the right solution.
It's also a job with a lot of flexibility. When more and more projects comes in, it will also mean that we will service more types of sites and components, which is fun as well. There will be more variation even in the future.
Tip for people wanting to work at Nilsson Energy?
We are a nice group with very different competence and knowledge. I believe that a certain type of independence and that you are meticulous is good. Even if there are many colleagues who can help we need to take responsibility for our own work. What is extremely important is that you always put safety first, especially as a technician, finishes Nicklas.
